Not only are the restart and shutdown applications no longer present, but I don't find that the Bold on-and-off toggle is working for me in the Format directory. However, I am very pleased with the new graphic appearance of this snapshot.

FWIW, long press powerdown does not appear to work in 20090827 (v3EXT) either. Another "feature" that I noticed in this snapshot is that there are some problems with the GUI menu that has icons and numerical labels in Madshelf. The games icon is labeled with the number 6, but pressing 6 takes you to the setup menu. The Setup icon is labeled with number 8, but pressing 8 takes you back to the linear list for Library, Images, Audio, etc. etc. after a long delay.

I see that Ticket #425 is indicated for the N516, but the bug description is wrong for what happens on the Hanlin V3. For the N516 it says that both button 6 and button 8 go to the Setup screen, but that is NOT what happens on the Hanlin V3. On the Hanlin V3 button 8 goes to the linear menu screen after about a 7 second delay. Can I modify Ticket #425 to include the Hanlin V3 behavior or should I open up a new ticket for the Hanlin V3?

Dottedmag: I have snapshot 20090824 installed. I see from Dave_S's posting that there's now a snapshot 20090827 available, which I have now downloaded and attempted to install. As I could not employ the former Shutdown feature, I removed the battery to attempt to accomplish this. I then tried the usual install method, but the version resulting was still listed as 20090824. How do I successfully install 20090827?

Can I modify Ticket #425 to include the Hanlin V3 behavior or should I open up a new ticket for the Hanlin V3?

Wow, that is weird because I had the same shutdown difficulty. I handled it differently, and my setup screen shows OpenInkpot 20090827 (V3ext). What I did was push the reset button and then immediately the + button and the power button, and the bootloader screen came up as usual. Are you absolutely 100% sure that you actually had the correct V3UPDATE.BIN file on your SD card.:smack:

It worked for me the first time, so I guess that you experienced some sort of fluke.

Welcome back LoCoPDF! I hope the dictionary lookup with the virtual keyboard comes back soon too.
Biggest drawback to LoCoPDF so far (as tested with eht 20090827 snapshot):
- when I change some settings (panning and zooming percentages) there are not remembered once I exit the book
- no landscape mode
- no reflow
But reflow is being worked on in the GPL software camp:

An mp3 and an ogg file were not seen by this snapshot when exploring the SD-card through the Audio menu.
Language selection works fine. I tested French.
