The list also appears to be deceptively inflated since the Hanlin rebranders are listed separately as well as the actual manufacturer, Hanlin.

Adobe is a bit too quick on this one. The firmware that allows it to read ADE files is rumoured to exist, but it's not yet available to the public, and Bookeen is delaying firmware release for close to a year now.

I thought that the Gen3's sold by Weltbild in Germany support ePub/ADE. The firmware itself may not be publically available yet, but its existence is surely more than merely "rumoured" in that case?

Absolutely correct. And to reiterate, this list is a list of devices for which ADE has been certified, not necessarily those on which it's currently released.
