Does the reader come with any SD/memory stick cards?

No cards were included with my PRS-700.

From the PRS-700 User's Manual:

An operation check is performed when using a Sony's "Memory Stick Duo" Memory Card of up to 16 GB, however, operation of all "Memory Stick Duo" is not guaranteed.
An operation check is performed when using an SD Memory Card of up to 16 GB, however, operation of all SD Memory Cards is not guaranteed.


I'll look around the forum and see where it is that the PRS-700 User Manual can be downloaded.

The "cards" it comes with are just demo models. I think its so that dust doesn't accumulate in case u don't use any cards

They are just blanks; they're there just to keep "matter" from falling into the slots & damaging the contacts.

I am currently using 4GB SDHC Micro with a SD Card adapter, works perfectly :]
