View Full Version : I am a pigeon. And what cell phone user are you?
Colin Dunstan 08-30-2005, 03:39 AM The Guardian has a fun quiz (http://www.guardian.co.uk/quiz/questions/0,5961,575274,00.html?) which classifies mobile user profiles as types of birds (apparently that's from a serious Motorola study).
According to the quiz results, I am a pigeon, a "common, garden-variety user," who "still can't quite work out how to download ringtones." How true. That's why I usually transfer them directly via Bluetooth to my handset.

cbarnett 08-30-2005, 08:41 AM Heh, I'm a penguin:
"Penguin
Old-fashioned and flightless. You make tutting noises at teenagers texting each other on the bus. Please enter the 21st century, because your friends are tired of having to show up on time for pre-arranged meetings."
It just goes to show, you can be a gadget geek and still be old fashioned... ;)
Craig.
Jaapjan 08-30-2005, 08:49 AM Don't worry, i'm a penguin too.
And a decade younger at least.
cbarnett 08-30-2005, 09:02 AM Settle down, sonny! I'm only 37, ya know! :skull:
Craig.

Let's not talk about age, it's depressing enough that it's soon my birthday ;(
Jaapjan 08-30-2005, 09:10 AM Come come mr Barnett. It was a positive comparison. 'Even I' am a penguin. You're not alone. ;)
cbarnett 08-30-2005, 09:13 AM <G> No offence taken, seriously!
:hanged:
:shocked3: :whip:
:furious2:
:behead2:

Craig (who really is only joking).
Bob Russell 08-30-2005, 09:23 AM I'm a... Peacock
"You buy a new phone every time the technology is out of date, or every six months, whichever is sooner. Your current phone allows you to create animated short films and download music from Napster."
Pride Of Lions 08-30-2005, 08:14 PM "Parrot
Loud, brash and unaware that your need to constantly be in touch with others marks you out as insecure. You can no longer commit to plans more than four hours in advance. Fellow commuters know the names of your lovers, pets and parents."
Funny.

drc54 08-30-2005, 11:08 PM "Peacock." True, I use my 6230 to download Podcasts so I can enjoy "Al Franken" show on the go. FM radio is useless when you take the subway to/from work. But no, short animated films is not my cup of tea. It's tempting though to try converting video to fit my 6230 just to know how easy/difficult it is.

Same here. Guess that's why I have a Treo 600 now (the SE T616 might go bye bye really fast) and will get whatever new Treo comes out this fall.
sUnShInE 08-31-2005, 02:42 PM I'm a Peacock too, though I don't think having a Razr qualifies.
Does it?
