Have you ever tried answering the phone with "Goodbye." and then waiting silently... I've found it really throws people off. And with Caller ID, you can choose who to confuse....

By the way, whatever happened to the so called "do not call" laws? I signed up for that years ago and it certainly helped a lot for awhile. But in the last couple of years, I've received half a dozen calls per day (which I let the answer machine answer). Have I missed something?

Have I missed something?You probably missed that the registration "expires" after a number of years ... I'm not sure how many, but I think it's somewhere around four.

Re-register your numbers and they should drop back off after a month or so. :nice:

not only re-register, but do the online registration as opposed to the call in one. for some reason that works much better
