I tried pdfCropper's sample output, it makes reading pdf easier, however pdfCropper does not run in OS X, so I have to find a OS X tool for the cropping task. I tried Preview and Skim, all crops very well, but when the pdf is loaded into sony prs 505, the margin is still there, any way to remove those margins? Thanks,

I don't know but here is a thread (http://www.mobileread.com/forums/showpost.php?p=442729&postcount=6) that gives some pointers on PDF conversion.

If you ever find a definitive answer to this question, I'll be interested in hearing it ;)

It works for me:


Find a page that will allow you to find the margins
Select the crop box with dashed-box tool (you can drag and resize the box)
Select Thumnails for the sidebar and click one of the pages
Hit Command-A to move the crop box selection to all pages
Hit Command-K to crop
Save


Not nearly as nice as soPdf (Windows only, as far as I know), and the Mac will sometimes balloon the size of the PDF, but it works well enough.
