Hi everyone

I have an older Palm handheld, a Palm Vx upgraded to OS4.1. Plucker works well on it. Sunrise works too - I can convert an RSS feed to Plucker format. However, if I install the Sunrise stub on the Palm and try to hotsync, the Palm crashes (says "SystemMgr.c, line 183 unimplemented"). If I uninstall the stub and just upload the files generated by Sunrise manually, everything works great, and Plucker can read the documents.
I suspect that the Sunrise stub has been written for OS5. If so, could a different stub be provided for the users of older devices? Or the current one made compatible? Or am I just doing something wrong?

This is due to the conduit, not the stub(which doesn't contain any actual code). The conduit works fine with my old M130 and IIIc which are OS 4.1 and OS 3.5 devices respectively, and I haven't heard from anyone else who has encountered the issue you're experiencing. Unfortunately, I won't get round to investigating this.

Perepug,

I had a similar issue with an OS5 Sony Clie TH55 and Sunrise. Whenever I tried to hotsynch, I had an error message.

Two things helped me fix the issue:
a. Change the default output directory to the handheld (instead of my memory stick, or your memory card for that matter) under "Edit/ Default Properties/ Output tab"
(Pls note that you have to change the output directory manually for any feed you already have created)
b. Delete the files already created and put into my card's sync folder -- otherwise, Sunrise wanted to sync the files anyway, as it obviously had detected that there were files which wanted to be synched.

Since then, everything works smoothly. I am not sure if your Palm Vx has a memory card slot, but the problem resembles mine in many a way.

Good luck,
GB

Hi Laurens (and everyone),

I'm on same error than Perepug. I've got a Palm Vx, with PalmOS 4.1 too. I can add the files manually without problems, but if I sync using Sunrise conduit *CRASH* :( same error, and I must reboot the handheld.

(I've got spanish PalmOS 4.1 version)

Simply uninstall and reinstall Sunrise without the conduit. The documents will then be installed by the standard Install conduit.
