Hi, I would be infinitely grateful if some formatting bod would post "Just William" and "More William" with pictures, in Sony format please.
Although manybooks is a great resource, I do tire of reading: (illustration of girl with cat on her lap), instead of seeing the pic itself. I suppose it keeps the file size down but it really spoils the fun of reading.
I know the pics in my mind conjured by the author can be great but it's sometimes fun to feel like a child again.

Richmal Compton only died in 1969. All her books are therefore still under copyright protection in the UK, including the two available on Feedbooks - they are only in the public domain in the USA.

Richmal Crompton died in 1969, Thomas Henry (the illustrator) in 1965, so the books won't be out of copyright in Canada until 2020
Just William and More William were published in 1922, so I suppose they're out of copyright in the US
Just William doesn't seem to be at Gutenberg, but More William is, including an epub version with illustrations

We have an illustrated version of "More William" in our upload section, converted by Madam Broshkina.
Here's a link to the LRF

There is also an IMP and a mobi/prc version.
