Tired of Pocket Internet Explorer and unable to afford NetFront 3.2 released (http://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4330) earlier today? Perhaps you should then try Mini-Mozilla aka Minimo, which is the trimmed down version of the Mozilla web browser.

You can now download (http://www.meer.net/~dougt/minimo_ce/MinimoCE_0.005.zip) the ARM binary of version 0.006 (yes, looks like a long way to go for 1.0).

Considering it's 0.006, I'm betting that DOWNLOADING it at all should be considered an accomplishment. ;)

Having tried the Minimo on my Pocket PC that we have at Palm Addict Towers I have to say that it works fine. It loas quickly once you have loaded it more than once. I was quite pleased at the speed it rendered pages and also many pages that I have been unable to browse using PIE could be opened without problem using Minimo. I think Minimo will certainly be a serious Pocket PC web browser once out of alpha/beta however until then I am happy to test. The only problem that I have is that I am unable to close the program meaning that I have to perform a soft reset everytime I need to exit it. However I found that it did run down well in the background but I did need to close it down and resetting did the trick, nice if I was able to do without resetting my PPC.
