---Update End---

It is my personal odyssee....

First Ikonboard...

Then Invisionboard...

And now (and hopefully finally) VBulletin!

The conversion from Invisionboard to VBulletin was a pain. But it is almost done.

You will notice that Attachments (including images) are still missing. They will be added shortly.

Also functionality is basic still. Customization will be done shortly.

If you have any problems, please post them here!

Alexander

This looks surprisingly familiar.... :)

FYI: I usually go to Turcic.com first and check what the latest posts are quickly. It's coming up with an error.

So far, I'm diggin it. :D

Ok, attachments are all added now.

Another thing: Links to other parts of the forum are not right yet. They all point to parts of the old forum software which is non-existant anymore. We will fix those link issues over time, in the meantime use the search feature instead!!

Hehe keep diggin :)

The front page, turcic.com, must be redone in order to work with the new forum. Since I am thinking of completely redoing the other parts of turcic.com, it will take some time for this feature to work again.

Sunshine,

you can turn that email notification thing off by default in your User CP under Options.

I've been from Switzerland for... uhm... quite some time :) What did you think I was from? :p

If you find the default skin ugly or too slow, you can always change your skin preferences in User CP -> Options.

Wow !!!

Nice interface, I can see why you've been busy.

Are you planning on having the ranking system still?

BTW thought you were from Croatia

Yup a ranking system will be incorporated again. A nicer one than the previous even.

Heh, about Croatia. Yes, I have also my roots there. Dubrovnik to be exact. I am spending my summers there.

I enabled Guest Posting.

Yet, it is still worth to register. See here (http://www.turcic.com/forums/announcement.php?s=&forumid=4) why.

A light skin is now installed. I think some people prefer light to dark. You can always go to your User CP and change the Style Set under Options.

Thanks for pointing out the low size limit - I now increased it.

Avatars are working, however, I haven't installed any yet. That will happen soon.

I integrated a board stats feature. You can see it here:

http://www.turcic.com/forums/vbstats.php General Stats
http://www.turcic.com/forums/vbstats.php?action=topthreads Top Viewed/Replied/Forums
http://www.turcic.com/forums/vbstats.php?action=topposters Top Posters Ever/This Month/Today

Please note the relatively low user level of activitiy. I hope some of you will want to post more here in future :)

EDIT: stats is off again to increase forum speed.

So internal links are fixed.

That means: The conversion from the old forumsoftware is 100% complete and went without severe complications :D

Changed the forum code.

Now, when you do new posts, vBcode and smilies will be inserted wherever the cursor is, instead of at the end of the text.

Btw, you can also use ALT+B for bold, ALT+I for italic, etc....

PS: If something doesnt work right for you in this respect, as the code changes involve are more complex, please send me a quick message.

You can now set yourself on "away" by specifying an away reason and a return date in your User CP / Profile.
