I found this designer (http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5172147&section_id=5946184) on Etsy and she has some amazing fabrics and made a cute "wristlet" that seemed to almost perfect for the new K2's, that as we know, comes naked!

After I we exchanged some emails and I sent her a link to the K2 info page. She made a cardboard K2 and then decided to make some adjustments, so now they are 10x7 and should fit perfectly! (How cool is that?)

I think they will even fit the Kindle with a cover (depending on what you ordered) I plan to get an Oberon (http://www.oberondesign.com/shop/cart.php?m=product_list&c=67), which you can pre-order but have not even been designed yet for the K2s, so it is hard to say. They are only $25 and the shipping is just 2.25. She ships daily and I am excited and relieved to know I will have a stylish home for my Kindle, when it gets here in 7 days! (But who's counting ;))

Very nice pouch (not case). But will this pouch fit a K2 with a case on it?

I think it depends on the case but I would think it would... problem is, few of us have a K2 or cover yet! A lot of the covers are not even designed yet cause popular makers like Oberon, have to wait to get their hands on a Kindle to make the proper modifications.

I would think it would fit with any of those Cole Haan Cases which do not seem to extend much beyond the K2 and those with the stand Amazon case.
Though neither of these post the actual dimensions on their info pages. I know a few people have ordered them who still have their K1's with their Oberon or M-edge covers. She has already shipped to them so they should get them by early next week and I will let you know.

If not, I am sure she will add a case that will hold both, so people have that option.

I want to get an Oberon case, but would like this cover with a wristlet as well. I'm never letting my Kindle or Zune go in the overhead on a plane again. I have a lanyard for the Zune, having the wristlet would be wonderful for the hectic stowage of gear while everyone settles.

A few people received theirs (including me) and reported their K1 in their oberon covers fit easily with room to spare. So I would think it would fit the k2s with most covers.

I can report I am very happy, it is very high quality and the interior is padded and quilted which was a nice surprise.

Does your Zune on its lanyard count as a carry-on? You know how crazy they are nowadays. I'm surprised my clothes don't count as carry-on.

I carry it in either my carry on or purse through security and once I am at the gate I take the Zune and the Kindle out. The Zune I slip over my neck regardless of whether or not I am going to listen to it, and I hand carry the Kindle. I put the Kindle on my plane seat while I stow the other gear. A stewardess cracked the face of my first Zune when she was moving stuff around in the overhead. I'm not taking any more chances!

I got my K2 today, still waiting on the Cole Haan but loving my case (pouch, bag, sleeves) and she is working on a few more design options. She already has up some smaller bags (http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5172147&section_id=5275129), that will fit the kindle more snuggly without a case.

I just got a larger Kindle pouch from BorsaBella.com. It's quilted inside, looks great and should have plenty of room for the K2 and its cover. I'm waiting patiently for a M-edge Prodigy cover.

I was at Target yesterday. The cases for the mini notebooks fit the Kindle with the Amazon cover. At the store they had a few different brands, some neoprene and some quilted with shoulder straps.

I am very happy with this cover! The feel of it is amazing. The top right of the cover did come a little short of the edge of the Kindle, but I think this is done on purpose as
the leather will streach over time. With just a gently pulling it does cover and I put an band around it over night and it is now covering the K without coaxing. It folds back easily as you can see and is easy to press flat while reading.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3457/3314615363_c8d58f8ea3_m.jpg

On my card it says "This Kindle belongs to..." and the under my number it says "Reward if found".. this is the only purpose I can see for the card holder. I especially love how beautifully it goes with my Borsa Bella (http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5172147) case. The case is really the perfect size, I think for Oberon or Medge covers you would not want any smaller.

You should email them and ask for one for the 505 size. You should encourage others that are interested to. If they get alot of demand I expect they would consider it.

Since I've seen a couple of people post on here already they are returning theirs, I think the chances are pretty slim they'll make Sony covers.

No, but I think they'll be hesitant to make another model. Also, I think they might have a deal with Amazon. You can't even buy the covers on Cole Haan's site.

I haven't laughed so hard since I stumbled upon http://www.cuteoverload.com for the first time. That is an attractive floral print hand bag though. Unfortunately, though I'm a confident heterosexual male. there is no way I could walk around confidently enough to be able to esconce my Kindle in such a carry pouch.

Yep, gotta be the pebble finish in black for me...

Hi Scotty, Borsa Bella (http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5172147&section_id=5946184) also has some more "masculine" fabrics, even plain colors, including black. You can just contact her from her home page and she will send you some options.

i think the right combination is one of the covers that has hinges (I have the Amazon cover) plus a netbook case. As you may know, a netbook is a very small laptop with a 9" screen that is intended to do e-mail and web browsing.

My Kindle fits inside with a small amount of room to spare so it's perfect for a booklight or the cable.

You can find a padded netbook case at most computer retailers like Staples, BestBuy, etc.

This makes an excellent travel combo.

I use a belkin netbook sleeve for the kindle 2 with the amazon case. I bought one of these bags from etsy. While nice looking , they really aren't the greatest protectors for ebook readers. They are quilted inside but offer no foam padding or anything. My netbook sleeve has more padding on it and feels more protective. I do want a sleeve for reading the kindle out of its case so I am waiting for the 10th when sf bags has there sleeves available. These have great padding and plastic inside the foam for shock absorber for the screen. These etsy bags have a smaller version for the kindle out of its case but I see no indication that they have beefed up the protection. A quilted lining just won't cut it for accidental drops or putting the kindle in a briefcase imo.

Hey Lisreed,

I think the case you got was meant to go with a cover. I know she is making some sleeves now, I got one and thought it did a great job of protecting. I am sure she would work out an exchange with you. Or you could use the bigger one for make up or other travel storage.

lisreed

Oh that's fine. I actually gave it to my step- mom as a gift since she loves having travel bags. Its very nice, I just prefer more padding around the kindle when its out of the case.

What about a heavyweight twill messenger bag from WalMart? Faded Glory; comes in olive or rosy red. Eight bucks!!! The front zipper compartment is large enough to store the K1 AC acaptor and USB cable plus extra room for my extra SD cards. It's extra roomy inside; the K1 fits with room to spare, so it should fit the K2's increased size.

That looks like a great travel bag or if your going hiking or something and a fantastic price. Personally I was looking for something with a slimmer fit, that would fit
into my actual purse, for day to day use.

I had one the woven Cole Haan covers and I was very disappointed in the quality. The cover did not lay flat on the Kindle and it was too still to fold the front cover behind the back cover in order to read one handed. The stitching was uneven. The leather itself was decent. For $120 I expected a *lot* more.

The more I hear about these problems, the more I think that Cole Haan had a limited time to produce the cases. Every single product I've bought from Cole Haan is ridiculously well crafted.
