It is interesting that they are offering a discount.

I thought the company has been dead for over a year...

It seems a good deal but still, stk format only... :(

It's basically the same h/w as a Bookeen Cybook Gen3. (Probably the 64MB model.) In which case, one could probably load in the older (Build 536 thru Build 796) Cybook firmware onto the device if one had full-install copies at hand.

Derek

P.S. Now could someone explain what 210RMB is in US dollars?

we have a thread on this subject... I think you can't change the firmware of the starebook with the gen3 due to the mobipocket support if i well understood.

Maybe CommanderROR can say more on the subject because if it was possible i think i would buy this one right now :)

even with the last update ?

The last update I fit on my Netronix EB-100 was Build 796. However, I don't have a STAReBOOk to be sure, but the firmware is the same between the two as far as I can tell from the firmware update (for the EB100, not the Cybook) Netronix sent me.

I've read that post (http://www.mobileread.com/forums/showpost.php?p=163622&postcount=14), it's why I thought it was not possible without expecting a lot of bugs.

Thanks for the confirmation.
