http://www.google.com/palm

paperloop.com has no mobile url that I could find (and my resources are pretty extensive). AvantGo doesn't list it, nor does OpenURLs, so it probably does not exist.

Hi thanks for your reply. I've visited the Google URL but I'm sorry to say this is not the URL I'm looking for...Basically the one I'm looking for is similar to Yahoo news.. For your ready reference pls visit this site http://pg1.yahoo.com/raw?dp=news. I also tried this URL http://news.google.com/news?hl=en&num=16&scoring=d&q but i think this URL is not intended for handheld. Any idea?

Google News and Yahoo! News are completely different services. Yahoo, like any good lazy news-provider, gives Reuters and AP feeds, but formats them, which gives them certain liberties with their output (such as having a mobile site). Note that Yahoo doesn't like to Reuters when you click a story.

Google News HAS a text-only site (http://news.google.com/news?ned=tus) but it's probably not formatted exactly how you need, and the second you hit a link you're going to hit a mobile-nightmare site. Google news doesn't reproduce the article. It just links to it - so without every news site that Google knows about having mobile access, you're more or less up the creek.
