This is the IMP and PRC upload of the the book first uploaded by Dr.Drib here (http://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11477)

"This book faithfully recounts some of the events leading up to the day in 1816 when Admiral Lord Exmouth led an expedition to force Algiers, and other North African cities, to capitulate. They had been under Turkish control for several centuries, during which they had raided European and American shipping, taking, over the years, up to a million white slaves. The author has made a very good story of the period leading up to this Britih Naval intervention. The actual attack is particularly well-written. The author had spent "a winter" in Algiers researching for this book. Of course it is politically incorrect to remind people of the fact that as many white slaves were held in Africa, as the number of black slaves that were held in the Caribbean and in North America, over the centuries." A few illustrations and nice cover (if I dare say so myself)

Have fun!
