I know that there are others on here that have pre-ordered their units from Sony style Canada. The ship date was originally the 17th, but they moved it to the 24th. I checked the website tonight, and it says that it is out of stock but there is nothing to say if mine has been shipped or not. Does anyone else have this situation or has had conformation of shipment from Sony style Canada?

My order now says "Current Status: Your delivery is now being processed by the shipping department: 18/11/08 11:30 AM" from Sony Style Canada.

My order also says "The delivery of your order is now being processed by our shipping department 18-11-08"
I hope this means they will soon be on their way, they did change the delivery date from November 17 to the 24th.
They are supposed to send an email to you when the product is shipped.
Can't wait much longer, but this is good news

I went to their website to order it and it said sold out...so, I went to Markville mall and they are expecting 4 PRS 700 for their store...2 had already sold and I put 1 on hold...so, I guess they have 1 left to sell....

Earlier today it said that the expected arrival date was the 20th, but now it says that it is in stock.

That's exactly how I feel. Remember that Martin Short character on SNL that just couldn't wait, neither can I.

before it said that once the product was in stock it would take 1 to 2 business days for it to be processed and shipped out, so hopefully it won't take too long

They had stock issues for previous launches as well (AFAIR, the second batch of PRS-500 shipments took almost a month to arrive). I wonder if it's actually underestimated demand (again?) or some persistent logistical issues.

I'm sure I ordered mine as soon as I could from sonystyle.ca - haven't got my email yet saying it's being delivered. Too bad they didn't ship from big Sony warehouse in Coquitlam B.C., just down the road from me. It's probably gonna travel an extra 10,000 km to get to me. And yes, they said it may take two days for shipping department to process order.

It will probably travel via San Diego through Toronto then Vancouver.

Mine hasn't started shipping yet either, but I keep checking!
I am pretty sure they ship from Ontario.

Does anyone know if sonystyle.ca is running that promo where you can sign up for one of their "Sony" credit cards and get $100 off your first purchase?

I've seen some of the US folks talking about this promo, and I'd love to use it to snag myself a PRS-700.

I'm waiting for mine as well - website also said it was now being processed for shipping, but no shipping notice yet. I placed my order November 3rd, if that helps. Sigh.

I just checkout the Sony website and it's no longer "SOLD OUt" you can now order online at Sony Canada...

Why do you need a gift card? You can just use a credit card to buy books from the Sony ebook store.

If you register a new ebook reader then you get the 100 free classics.
