Sunrise v0.40 is scheduled to be released next Monday (01/17/05). The three prereleases before pre11 were quite unstable and had a few show-stopping bugs. If pre11 is turning out to be fully stable for a few days, another 0.40 prerelease won't be necessary.

how does this compare with iSilo/X?

l0o5er, that is a good question. Currently, Sunrise is still only available as a desktop component and uses the excellent free Plucker viewer as the reader component. So you would have to compare Sunrise to iSiloX and Plucker to iSilo. I think in the latter case, a lot has been said in this forum already. Both viewers have their advantages and disadvantages; one is free and open-source, the other is not.

Sunrise, which is currently in heavy development, has a few nice features that iSiloX doesn't offer. It definitely has a more advanced caching system, making regular downloads of webpages not only faster, but is also saving you a lot of bandwidth. If you are a fan of offline webbrowsers such as iSilo/X, you should give Sunrise a try - it is till available for free!

Others are free to add their own opinion.
