Under new posts we have a w/o ebooks...is there a way to show new posts with ebook attachments?

Clicking on the top line in the menu, "All New Posts" should get you what you want. :)

Since I log in daily, I choose the Last 24 hours option. It includes the normal forums posts and book uploads. Note that if someone posts a comment in the upload thread, it will show up as well as new uploads.
