Laurens, one of the most responsive PDA developer I know, has just released Sunrise 0.40-pre7 (http://laurens.typepad.com/sunrise/2005/01/sunrise_040_pre_3.html). The release contains two important fixes related to plain text conversion and DLL linking on Windows XP machines.

Unless new serious issues show up, we should be able to expect a final 0.40 release soon (at least if you believe that Laurens' to-do list for 0.40 is empty now).

If you are new to Sunrise, click here (http://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2815) to find out more about its top-notch features for website offline conversion.

Hi Laurens!
Installed Pre9 this morning and it crashed...
Running windowsxp. During AutoUpdate this screen popped up:
Failed to execute runnable java.lang.NullPointerException
followed by more error messages.
Program was not responding at all
I use some sites with Form Login. I don't know, if that's the issue.
It stopped at MyYahoo site..

Please send me your SDL, so I can take a look at it. Also try to trigger this error again, copy the information to the clipboard and paste it in a new post.

Hi Laurens!
Emailed you my sdl..
I Updated my files with Pre8 and no luck either.
The Program quits unexpected. I have to start Sunrise back up to continue the update.
Gave my Computer a spanking - restarted and installed Pre9 again.
Same thing. It either quits or freezes up.

Did you guys notice that Sunrise 0.40 pre12 is already out? In just one week Laurens released six new builds containing various bugfixes. This man is a machine!

Yes, I was aware of that.
I am running the latest release.
Laurens spent a lot of time, answering my emails... - Thanks
I still have a problem using it on my computer.
It quits halfway through the update due to not enough memory.
I should have enough available (130GB / 512MB RAM).
The weird thing is, that it seems to update everything without quiting, during hotsync.
Even if I use the dektop I don't run 20 programs at once - just the desktop.
Anybody any ideas?
