I just sold my iLiad on ebay for 350£ and planning to get 1000s. Can someone just if it is a bad move i.e., selling it? The reason I sold it is due to its fragile nature. I am really scared every time I go out with it and the cost of getting it fixed. Now, shall I get 1000s or wait untill OCt 2 for Sony's announcement? I still got the option of opting out of the sale from ebay. Please post your opinions.

I dont think sony will offer a 10,2". I think it will be a upgrade of the existing PRS505, more on the software side, i.e. worldwide wireless distribution of books. I may be wrong.
If you want to read letter size pdfs and be able to annotate I think its the right thing you'r doing. :2thumbsup

Ok. But do not blame me if they will present the super-mega 13" only 200g weighting, video-color PRS...

I would wait until the sony event before buy a dr1000s for several different reasons:
1)2nd October is only a week ahead. Can't you wait for such a small amount of time?
2)We don't know what sony has up its sleeve, what if it releases a 9.7" device for half the price of the dr1000s?
3)By 2nd October surely there will be reviews of the dr1000s made by members of this forum, maybe even video reviews.
I hope this helps.

If being afraid of breaking your ebook device made you sell iLiad, then why won't you sell dr1000s for the same reason? Is dr1000s more robust than iLiad?
