i could be wrong about this but i think it applies when a picture is in a user album and ALSO in, for example, a social group album. so the comment can be accessed from the group page or from the user profile page.

Don't get technical on me. Oh wait... yes, please, get technical on me.

Your explanation is acceptable.

it's speculation though. did i mention that ?

(technically.)

Sorry, Greenie, but in fact, the picture thread is actually a conduit to an ALTERNATE dimension. The alt dimension is actually a 2 dimensional universe, in which the pics from MR appear magically to the little flat natives, who worship us as their pantheon of dieties.

Don't try to correct them. I'm hoping they will soon figure out that they need to send us loot... I mean offerings.

Groan? That was the absolutely most on-topic, salient, cogent post I've ever made, and you GROAN? It was a model of brevity, remarkable from a habitually periphrastic poster, and you groan.

I weep.

He could have made a pointed remark!

oh please. whether it was cogent is irrelevant. you're lucky i didn't rupture my spleen. (drawing a line at a 2D universe, sheesh... to reiterate : arg. to the power of 3. that's right, i'll see your line, and raise you a dimension.)

Listen, we can all make valid points in a 1D universe, but a 2D universe is where we have to draw the line. Now Zelda wants us in a 3D universe, which seems like a solid proposal, but if we go to 4D, well, I just don't have the time for that.

I think ZP is worried that in 2D, she would never get off the ground, even with her jet boots.

LOL! Carcking me up! We don't need no steeenkin' Newtons or Einsteins, we got it all figured out right here.

Let's make the little flat natives wear funny outfits to worship services. And change them pretty often, sort of like paperdolls. And let's keep a monopoly on religious garb, call it "designer," and threaten everlasting punishment by feather tickling to anyone caught counterfitting.

how can you make such a flat judgement ??Trigonometry, my dear Zelda!

I just tri all the angles, and determine the appropriate degree of response. :smug:

Careful calling Taylor514ce cute, you'll give him a complex.

Come to think of it, putting that head into 2D is going to be complex, no matter what.

A line is what happens when you eliminate 9 dimensions of a string.

Personally, I think she's been hitting the (klein) bottle.

I can't work it into the conversation, but my favorite term from topology is "smooth noodle map". I'm a big fan of full noodle frontity.

Speaking of 2D universes... Anyone seen the movie "Flatland" and care to comment on it?
