I found this site http://etc.usf.edu/clipart/ that has many older illustrations that are provided for educational use and for use on websites. The license is here http://etc.usf.edu/clipart/license/license.htm. I was thinking about using this image http://etc.usf.edu/clipart/13500/13514/agnew-ersk_13514.htm modified by adding the title of the book above it as the cover for a book by Gene Stratton Porter. I want to be able to upload the imp file here to mobileread but I'm unsure about the license. Didn't want to cause any copyright problems with the first book that I tried uploading here.

Can anyone give me an opinion as to whether it would be alright to use it or not? If I am reading the license right it should be alright so long as I credit them as being the source of the image.

Seems fine to me because it's "non-commercial use". Go for it!

Thanks for the quick reply. That was what I thought but a second opinion never hurts.
