Hello. My name is Francisco , and I'm not new in this forum. As a matter of fact, I have already posted more than 100 times in here.
I came here for the first time looking for the WCC, and never thought I was going to come back for so long and so often.
I'm an electronics engineer and work for a Chinese company that manufacturates telecom equipment. In fact, I'm in China right now, in the middle of a three-week business trip.
I have a Tungsten T3. I used to believe in PDA ascetism (my previous palms were a Vx and a Clié SJ-22), until one of my friends showed me his brand new T3. I must say it's worth every cent I payed. 80% of the time I use it to read the news and eBooks in landscape mode (LS mode obsessed me from the very beginning). I like making it useful in every possible manner. Today I bought a Chinese phrasebook that has proven to be somewhat useful, and thoroughly funny.
There are several PDA forums, but somehow, this is the one that makes me feel more comfortable. Also, you guys have helped me a lot. Above all, Alexander has made a wonderful job here.

Here here! Nice to hear from you too, Francisco. You don't have to be a new member to post here at all. I imagine China is a fascinating place. Are you getting the chance to see much? (most business trips don'y give you the chance to look around much, which is a shame).

Craig.

Thanks for the intro Francesco. I've seen you involved with the forums before. It's good to find out "who you are!"

Thanks Francesco, that really made my day :)

Also include the entire MobileRead team and this great community, without whom I would have probably given up in the process!

How do you like China? Is it like everyone says... the world's future economical power?

Well, you're right, this time I won't be able to see much. Fortunately, I came two years ago for training. I had six weeks back then, so I got to know Beijing, Hong Kong and Canton. And still, coming this far, even without traveling inside China provides lots of experiences.
It is fascinating, and it's interesting to see how every city has such a different flavor of fascination.

My opinion is that they're doing a terrific job, no wonder they're growing so fast, but it will be nearly impossible for them to maintain the necessary balance. For example, they are allowed to have only one kid in every marriage, this must to be done to avoid overpopulation, and only a fierce government could ever manage to implement such a policy, but in a few years, they'll have to face a different problem: too many retired people, and not enough working force to support their pensions.
So, will they replace the USA as the world economical power? I'd say maybe, but not in the next 40 years (hey! I said 50 years last time! ).
