Here is the surviving fragment of Keat's unfinished epic, Hyperion.
It is nicely formated for Sony Reader - but may work OK on others.

View Full Version : Poetry Keats, John: Hyperion (RTF). v2. 22 Jun 2008 TedPark 06-17-2008, 09:08 PM Here is the surviving fragment of Keat's unfinished epic, Hyperion. Patricia 06-18-2008, 08:55 PM This looks quite nice; though several of the inverted commas and quotation marks are facing in the wrong direction. TedPark 06-19-2008, 12:21 AM several of the inverted commas and quotation marks are facing in the wrong direction. ARGHH - that's what I get for letting MS-Word apply "smart quotes" automatically. I will go through by hand and check them all. Thanks so much for your proofreading. Patricia 06-19-2008, 06:41 AM I'm afraid that one always needs to check smart quotes. Mostly they are ok. But there is no algorithm that will always get the direction right when they occur immediately after a dash. Nor for space followed by an inverted commma ('tis, ''cos, 'em). So I always to a manual check. This can take very little time with some books. But 'the Ragged Trousered Philanthropists' took hours because of all the colloquialisms. |
