Mobipocket preview pane

Can anyone tell me how to get book descriptions to appear in the Preview pane in Mobipocket Reader when building with Creator.

I have put the text into the 'Description' field in the metadata in Creator, on the assumption that is the correct place. However, nothing appears in the preview pane except for the cover thumbnail and author. Is there something that has to be set manually in the .opf file?

Did you click the update button after you inserted the info?

Thanks for the reply but yes. And the description was there, embedded in the .opf file. But it didn't show in the library. And then it did, with not a single change to the file or the program settings.

The information in preview pane seems to come from the ABST record in the sidecar .mbp file. It is likely fetched from Mobipocket server by the reader. I could not find a matching record in mobi files themselves.

I have had the experience that a book that had already been opened by Mobipocket Reader that I changed - actually opened a new version of the same book. The old version was not changed but the new version had the changes. Yes I ended with two versions of the same book.

You might check this to see.
