How do you change the title of a book in the Library? Thanks dhbailey 06-14-2008, 07:04 AM You have to edit the book file itself -- if there isn't anything entered in the proper place within the file for the title, the book will be listed by the name of the file. If there is something inside the file in the location for the book title, that's how it will be listed. Some book files you might be able to edit with Calibre, but the commercial lrx files can't be edited. Maybe you could be more specific about what you want to have changed and people could offer insights about how to do it? cassidym 06-14-2008, 07:19 AM Sorry I wasn't more clear. Here's the problem: I downloaded a freebie book entitled 'Hal Spacejock' but, presumably because the first words in the file are 'Chapter One', my library now lists the book as 'Chapter One' Ironically enough, the title in the My Ebooks folder where I originally downloaded it to shows the title as 'Hal Spacejock' gwynevans 06-15-2008, 06:37 AM The Calibra package has a 'lrf-meta' command-line utility that can edit the meta-data. |
