An English translation of De Doctrina Christiana. The first three books were written in 397 CE, and the fourth was added in 426 CE.
This is an anonymous Victorian translation from the ‘Select Library of Nicene and Post-Nicene Fathers.’
As well as exegesis, Augustine uses his training in logic and rhetoric, noting that these are useful skills.
There were a number of OCR errors in the original file. If you find some that I have missed then please pm me, so that I can do a corrected version.
