Hello, I used PDFLRF (default settings) to convert a PDF file of 6.61MB (the Bible for my Mom), yet the file size is over 80MB when converted, and takes forever to even load. There are no pictures, so I don't know why it was so big. Can someone suggest another program, or way of getting it on her PRS-505?
Thanks for any advice:)

Oh, and could someone tell me what LibPRS and Calibre is?

Calibre may be just the program you need to convert

And do try looking at the Bibles in our upload section. They might save you some work, if one of them meets your mother's needs.

Sounds as if you used a conversion method which converted each page to a graphical image.

What are you looking for in a Bible? Which one were you trying to convert? Using pdflrf to convert one is certainly the wrong tool because it does convert the pdf file into a series of cleverly melded images and has as a consequence a huge amount of overhead when loading.

Depending on your mother's needs I may be able to assist you in finding a good workable solution.

I am looking for NLT (New Living Translation). An NIV will do though if I can't find an NLT. I have an NIV I downloaded free from some publisher a while back (PDF).
Thanks for all the quick responses:thanks:
