There's been very little fanfare but ebooks.com have obviously been engaged in a project of huge cultural significance - rewriting Shakespeare. Here, for instance is their description of the contents of King Lear, which they clearly felt was badly in need of a facelift:

After breaking up with her boyfriend, a blue Skye Denison cheers up when a sexy contractor renovates her house. He looks too good to be true. Sure enough, he has a reputation for conning the ladies. But before Skye can fire the hunk, he turns up with a bullet in his head. Even bad boys deserve justice, so Skye's got a killer to catch.

Oh yes, and under 'More books on this topic' we find 'The Vagina Monologues'. What's that spinning sound coming from the cemetery....?

Nope, he was already spinning before this. I sat through a college production of Taming of the Shrew. Except it was re-done in modern day format. EXCEPT the modern day format was 1920's flappers, prohibition, gangsters, and speakeasies. It was very "special."

That's the great thing about Shakespeare - his plays can very easily be moved to almost any setting.
