Hi everyone! I've been reading posts around here since December when I started seriously looking into E-readers. Now I've got a Kindle on the way so I hope to spend many hours getting lost in some good books. Between the Baen free library and the Tor free books, I've got plenty to get started with! :mrrox:

Yup ... watch KotH all the time. Have a lot of neighbors who talk just like Boomhauer.

People ask me why I like it, it's a cartoon. I explain that no, it's a reality show for Texans.

Yup ... that's pretty much it.

the concentration of texans in the mr population is starting to seriously worry me. i wonder whether secretly you have plans for world domination, and the like. you're probably in league with the squirrels.

Y'all. I was born a Texan, raised by a Texan, and have lived here for the past 20+ years. But I just can't bring myself to say that word. It sounds silly coming out of my mouth. It even makes sense to have a dedicated word as a 2nd person plural pronoun. Just can't do it.

:expression formed by imagining how a Frenchwoman would sound saying y'all:

Hereby mozzled: "parismerized" - I'm sure it will come to have many much more general meanings.

Nope, she probably sounds just fine since she appears to have grasped the difference between "y'all" and "all y'all".

well, here i suspect the francophones are at an advantage, since we are already familiar with the concept of a second person plural pronoun (although ours is less silly ). vous / vous tous.
