I don't need a gmail invite, but I just gotta thank Alexander for his generosity in giving them out in such an easy fashion. Even though gmail is still in beta, its a great improvement on some of the other email programs out there. Great job, Alex!

yi00, good idea. I am still thinking how to motivate especially new members to post mini reviews here. Any ideas?

Colebuddy: Thanks Kevin!

Alex,

I already have a gmail account (thanks to you!) But just a suggestion, maybe we can have an RSS version of this website so that I can read it in my palm offline.

Or maybe there is already a way to download this site in iSilo format? If so, can you share how to do it?

Mark

Ortaliz,

A RSS version has been available for quite some time. See in the upper right corner. Perhaps Alex should add one of those orange XML icons to it to make it more visible!

There isn't an official offline-browser version of MobileRead yet. But you can use the following link in the meantime with link-depth: 0 to receive the latest frontpage news:

hi Alexander..

I am completely new to this forum but would very much like an invite. What do i have to do? because you mentioned that we just have to say something nice??!!!?

Well this site its pretty cool esp the fact that you get help. Someone mentioned from another forum that he got help for converting website stuff to palm which is pretty specialised stuff (to me anyways) so that means there must be some people who are pretty good at computers and very generous to give help at the same time. Hope there is not too much flaming here :P

:D

scheps, we hate flaming here so don't expect to see much of it ;)

Glad to see you with us!

Thanks a lot, Alexander.

Well, I've been trying to get my Gmail invite for quite some time, and we (mobileread and me) have been playing email-tag. No hurt feeling, just no Gmail account :( I'll just post my email since my PMs haven't done me much good. So, without further adieu...

Hey New to the mobileread.com forums. I really like the forums. Have been using them for some time. (Just didn't have any thing to post.)

I have kept frequenting the forums, since both news and links are great. More importantly,, the forum seems to be filled with people who are nice to each others (Not like some forums i've been to)

If there is any invites left (and I can have one :) ) my mail is

lethanjunk@hotmail.com

Lethan

Alexander,

Do you have an invite left? I'd love one if you do.

As for something nice, these have to be some of the coolest message board smilies I've seen in a while!

Craig, thanks for the rescue. I am slowly running out of them!

So for the next invites, please PM either cbarnett or Alexander. If I am out of them, I will forward requests to Craig.

So, yes, invites are still available, this is your chance if you need one :)

I'm looking for 2 gmail accounts so that our boys can have a decent webmail account(s) that don't get spammed like hotmail. If anyone has any they could shoot my way I would appreciate it.

Alexander Turcic
10-15-2004, 01:49 PM
Greg, I sent you two invites. Btw I removed your e-mail address from your last post; posting it here in public is a sure way of multiplying spam in your inbox. Better to PM me directly next time ;)

And welcome to Mobileread. Hope you like it here!

Hi I would like to see a forum that offered tips and how-tos on using the various readers. I'm still working my way through using Sunrise and Plucker and would appreciate learning more.

I would also love one of the gmail invites :)

Alexander Turcic

Invites sent to everyone who posted here before.

It seems I am out of invites for now. So the next of you interested, please PM gvtexas or cbarnett for an invite.

And don't forget to post to this thread and tell us something nice ;)

Hi,

Just to say hello to Alexander and everyone. I just bought my HP4700 and follow a link from iSilo to here. I am completely new to iSilo or mobileread.com. This is a very nice website and forum and with plenty of information. If you still have gmail invites left, I would be grateful to get one.

Cheers,
yk
