‘Helen of Troy, her life and translation. Done into rhyme from the Greek books.’
(1882)
Not content with translating Homer, Andrew Lang composed this epic poem on the life of Helen of Troy.
As a bonus, here’s a very short poem by Dorothy Parker:
Words of Comfort to Be Scratched on a Mirror
Helen of Troy had a wandering glance;
Sappho’s restriction was only the sky;
Ninon was ever the chatter of France;
But oh, what a good girl am I!
