No, at least not directly. They must be converted first.

Haven't tried converting mobipocket books but have had good luck converting .lit books using Libprs500 here http://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/Libprs500 Give it a try

The most recent libprs500 works just as well converting mobi (.prc) to LRF as it does LIT. However, it won't convert DRM'ed mobi files.

The easiest option would be to read your MobiPocket books on a device which supports the MobiPocket format. If Mobi books are important to you, it would be a bit daft (IMHO) to buy a Sony Reader. Buy a Kindle, Gen3, or iLiad instead.
