Pocket PC Thoughts (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/index.php) is reporting that the new VGA Toshiba e830 has been released in Japan and the EU (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/index.php?action=expand,32245) but will not be released in the US at this time! Is the US the new red-headed stepchild of the PPC market? What gives? On all the PPC forums users are slavering and drooling to get their hands on VGA units. Why would this huge market be skipped over?

Well probably because it's not as big a market as you think. Heh. Sure there are plenty of potential buyers, but in the past the Toshiba PPC's (even VGA) have been quite and still are the minority of Pocket PC's owned. Perhaps their previous models have sold quite well in Japan and EU and they wish to target the region with the most revenue first.

As long as they're going to sell it in Australia, I'll be able to handle it. This looks like a nice device, and might make me turn from HP for my next purchase....
