Boing Boing explains (http://www.boingboing.net/2004/09/08/ipod_battery_swap_su.html) us how easy it is (contrary to general belief?) to swap a new battery into your iPod.
The battery itself (http://store.l-f-l.com/cgi-bin/cp-app.cgi?pg=prod&ref=UP325385A4H) costs around $30 and with a miniature screwdriver and some sure instinct you can replace it within 5 minutes.
PS: Don't be mad at me if you break your iPod by not being careful enough!!
