Hi,

I have a few LRF files that don't have a table of contents. Is there some type of software that I can use to build a table of contents for LRF files without having to do a lot of converting/editing?

Thanks,

Book Designer will do the job!
http://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/Book_Designer

When you surf over to the download site, use google translate unless you read Russian. The program itself functions in either English or Russian and has a tutorial included.(anyblock of text that you designate as a 'title' will be created as a header in your TOC.)

Yes, BD will do it but I strongly recommend that you read Harry T's well-written tutorial on how to use it: http://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10313&highlight=tutorial

By the way, welcome to the forum, fizzlepop!

A tutorial? :bulb2: Sounds crazy enough to work!
I love this site!If I knew this e-reader had so much potential for geeky fun, I would have bought one a long time ago!
One day I may even use it to read a book!:D

Whoa! Rick, if you have used BD successfully without a tutorial or some other introduction, then you have my greatest respect. It would have been a total disaster for me without help.

I should note that the tutorial describes how to create a TOC by hand. For a straightforward book, you can simply use BD's "Insert TOC" command and it'll build one automatically from everything marked with the "Title" style.

Actually, I think earlier replies may have been a bit hasty. Book Designer will create lrf files, but won't accept them as input.

The only thing you can possibly do is convert LRF back to LRS and see what you can do with it.

But eventually Libprs500 will have a working lrf2html.

Now you can, with "LRF TOC Editor" (http://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22823).
