I wanted to share some of the tips and tricks I've used to effectively create .IMP format ebooks using the free eBook Publisher (http://www.ebooktechnologies.com/support_publisher_download.htm) software.
Check (and add to) the Best Conversion Practices section of the EBook Publisher wiki (http://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/EBook_Publisher).

And thanks to all who preceded me! I had been a 'sponge' for far too long, and now it's my turn to be 'wrung' out!

Does that make you a "wringer?"
(for those to whom that statement makes no sense at all, and I'm sure they will be many as it's pretty obscure, it's a pun, and probably only amusing to me, and I learned long ago that it's almost never worth explaining puns :jester: )

i will compare and see if there is anything in my snippets that is not already in your best practices page... mine are less complete, because i only have the code for the format i like (so, left-aligned, but not full justification, for example). i could put a list of my preferences, for reference, if you like...
