Hi All,

I just purchased my Sony PRS-505 from Borders, after about a year of indecision. I've read ebooks for years on my PDA --- first a Palm M130 and then a Palm Tungsten-E, and I've enjoyed the experience but was annoyed at having to recharge the PDA everyday.

Since buying the Sony eReader PRS-505 I've bought three books from Sony Connect, downloaded 100 free classics through the new customer offer, played with BookDesigner and Book Creator, and converted a bunch of books I had on my computer over to lrf files with MakeLRFGui. I picked up a 2Gig SD card at Staples last night for $15.00. I'm about ready to play with the LibPRS500 software and see how that works.

I love the quality of the e-ink, the heft of the device, and the reading experience. The inverse color switch on page turning is no worse than flipping a page of a paperback book.

Now the only thing is to remember to get up off my ass and exercise every once and a while!:bookworm:

Hi Timoleon and welcome to the Forum. My experience and history is pretty much the same as yours. I've read books on my iPaq for years but, like you, got bored recharging the damn thing.

And here's a suggestion regarding exercise: Use your 505 on the treadmill. I've been doing that for a couple of months and love it. One hour feels like ten minutes when you're reading away. I set the font at the largest and use a padded case and really like it
