I'm a newbie... and I like e-books...
I got into reading e-books by downloading Cory Doctorow's iPod notes versions and reading them. After several months of frustration trying to convert the free Baen books over to iPod notes, I switched over to the ebookwise 1150 due to its low cost (relatively speaking) and the amount of free material available.
Of course, I buy a lot of stuff, too. The ease of the internet is such a wonderful venus fly trap.
I'm mostly a science fiction/fantasy reader with some dalliances into horror and mystery every once and a while. My favorite authors are Gene Wolfe, Tad Williams, Dan Simmons, C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, and Timothy Zahn.
I'm a college senior, studying mass communications. I'm hoping to go into the arcane field of radio. When not reading, I enjoy gaming (both computers and regular), playing guitar, listening to audio dramas and podcasts, and sleeping.
