Hi all, I've been downloading ebooks from here for a while and thought I'd say hello and thanks to all all you guys who make the whole ereader experience so easy and enjoyable.

I still can't decide if it's the thrill of reading on such a gadget that makes me read more than ever or not. The fact that I am hooked on classics from Dumas and Hardy would more than surprise my English Lit teacher and indeed does surprise me but I have had a whole new world open up for me and it doesn't matter if the gadget thing is responsible or not.
I have bought 3 Sony readers purchased from ebay (US) as I live in the UK and have been surprised at the amount of people who have contacted me to ask how the purchase went. I have to be honest and say that on all 3 occasions the sales went smoothly.
I have recently sold a 500 on ebay and was amazed at the interest and price it fetched.
If anyone reading this is thinking of buying from the States, then go for it. People in the UK are making a small fortune at the moment selling new and used 500s, but for the same price you could get a new and improved 505. Be aware of the import duty (£36) which will land on your doormat before you commit and you should have no problems.
Once again thanks to anyone who has contributed to the collection on this site and here's hoping that Sony do launch the reader in the UK.
Cheers.
Ade.

Hi Ade and welcome to the Forum.

Since I got my Sony 505, I've read a lot more than before. Part of it is my love for gadgets but it's also driven by the ease of use and the phenomena of being able to carry an entire library around.

The fact that I can occasionally read it at work when no one knows I'm reading has nothing to do with it! That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
