Hi everyone,

I just got my 505 a couple of days ago. Have been experimenting with formatting content for PDFs, generating LRFs, etc...lots of fun. But I got on a plane this afternoon and found that my Reader was frozen at its top page (i.e., Continue Reading, Books by Title, Books by Author, etc.). The on/off switch does nothing, nor does the reset pinhole in the back (I've held that down with an eyeglass screwdriver for a *very* long time). Any suggestions? Do I just wait for the battery to run down?

Thanks!

Nick

P.S. I'm on a Mac. Plugging the unit into the computer doesn't change anything on the screen... and the RAM disk doesn't mount.

It might just be a dead battery (if so, the display is just showing what was on it when the power failed). When you plug it in does the charge light come on? If so, let it charge for a few hours and try it then.

Good luck!

Bob

Thank you, Bob. You appear to be right. How simple! I guess I'm not used to computing devices displaying anything when their batteries are dead, but in this case it makes sense.

Thanks again,
Nick
