Hi ,
If ill take russian word document and use book designer to convert it to ebook for the sony reader , will I see the document with no problems in the ebook?

The 500/505 does not support eReader format. So if you use Book Designer to generate eReader format ebooks, the Sony will not read them.

But the Sony Reader PRS 500/505 will read Russian. I believe that other people have embedded Russian fonts. Use Book Designer and make an lrf book.

There are threads on this topic. Do a search for Russian fonts.

(Jon, I think this person is asking about making ebooks; not about the e-reader format.)

If you used the correct font /cyrillic/, you wouldn't get any problems. I'm using Tmscyr and don't have problems at all.... except the slower page turn.

When I wrote eReader I meant the sony reader format (lrf)

Ah. I got confused as well, because eReader is format on its own and has no relation to Sony Reader or LRF format.
