Danger Inc. (http://www.danger.com) will soon make a lot of people happy with their release of the new SideKick II. Sidekick II connects seamlessly to wireless networks, which gives you the ability to browse the Internet, exchange instant messages, and send and receive email with image attachments. Other features include a full-featured phone, personal information management (PIM) applications, access to a personal Web portal, a catalog for downloading ringtones and applications to your device, and a built-in camera.

To raise your appetite: the FCC has made available pictures (https://gullfoss2.fcc.gov/prod/oet/forms/blobs/retrieve.cgi?attachment_id=442694&native_or_pdf=pdf) and reference guide (https://gullfoss2.fcc.gov/prod/oet/forms/blobs/retrieve.cgi?attachment_id=442721&native_or_pdf=pdf).

Great device. Btw, Danger just asked the FCC to withhold the Sidekick II photos for the next 45 days (is that the release date then?), saying that they "request this confidentiality on the basis of ensuring that buisness sensitive information remains confidential until the actual marketing of our new device, which is planned for late August 2004."

How do you talk on this thing ?? I hope it doesn't look like you're holding a brick against your cheek. Can you sync with outlook ?? I heard that you couldn't on the previous models. And is there any expansion slot on this thing
