Wandered into a Sony Style store this afternoon and casually asked about the Sony Reader and was delighted when the salesman told me they were selling their window display models at 40% off. These were not the normal display models that customers handle but rather models in the window that were part of the store's Christmas display. I'd seen these there but it didn't dawn on me they'd be offered at such a discount.

It's charging up now and I plan to be happily reading later today.

And, they have few more available at that price. If you're interested and in the DC area, get over to Crystal Mall in Crystal City in Northern VA.

Just got back from grabbing one from Pentagon City Mall (you had the wrong mall listed :) )

I think that all the display models have been sold now. There was someone buying what I think was the last one when I left.

Sorry about getting the mall name wrong but delighted you got one.

That was just dumb luck for me. I was running errands in the area and just stopped in to check it out as I was planning on buying one in the New Year.

No apology needed... I knew which mall had the sony store in it anyway :)

I've had the PRS-500 for about a year now and love it, just couldn't talk myself into buy the 505 before this.

As it was said B&H (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/524807-REG/Sony_PRS505LC_PRS_505LC_PORTABLE_READING_SYSTEM_BL UE.html) got it. They just rised the price by $11. You have to wait until the end of Saturday in order to place an order though.
