Taiwanese company GoDot refreshed its website, now offering (http://www.godot.com.tw/products/jukebox/m8370-all.htm) some interesting details on the new GoDot M8370 and GoDot M8570.

The M8370 looks like a very well-done clone of the iPod to me, and at least its specs can also compete with Apple's masterpiece: it offers a 1-inch hard drive, 17mm thickness, Ogg Vorbis support, and USB 2.0. The M8570 looks more like a cell phone, and offers similar features like the M8370 (with a bigger 1.8-inch hard drive).

Do you think Apple will be delighted to hear about this?

The 8570, though thicker, has a radio which is kinda cool. Any clue about street price for these units? Also, I'm not seeing anywhere what the capacity is. Did I miss that??

Also reminds me that the HP Blue Pods (http://news.com.com/HP%2C+Apple+harmonize+on+iPod/2100-7354_3-5137473.html?tag=nl) should be out soon. (Should be....)

Oh, oh, Apple won't be amused about this. In the past they often took companys to court for stealing their design (remember iMac?) On the other hand GoDot did make their homewokr quite well. Implementing Ogg support is one of the most wanted features for IPod. Price would be interesting to know.
