Hello everybody,

Now that I am fairly happy with my .epub as far as formatting and layout are concerned, I wanted to turn it into a more "distributable" and "printable" format. Calibre did a somewhat ok job with .pdf, but internal <a> tags don't work, and I can't quite figure out how to choose a different font for the conversion. There's also the issue that I had to adjust the border dimensions which shrunk the cover image.

So I was curious if I could turn the .epub into LaTeX format. That way I can apply a few adjustments and generate .pdf myself.

Cheers!

Hi

You may find some help here: http://writer2latex.sourceforge.net/

EPUB is considered though to be an output format. The source files for the program are odt.
The EPUB part goes from Writer to EPUB thru xhtml converting.

You can convert the XHTML directly to PDF with Prince (www.princexml.com). I made a script for this some time ago: http://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=89689

I haven't looked into this too deeply, but a quick search (http://www.google.com/search?q=latex+to+epub) gives the following links:
