Ebk1150 requires .imp books which can be created from txt/doc/rtf/html/opf/rb with the Librarian software (semi-free, has a trial version that works with restrictions or is 15$ full), with the ETI software, or with BookDesigner - both free.
The books can be loaded via the USB cable that comes with the device, or by taking out the card and plugging it in a SmartMedia reader.
The imp files can be viewed on the PC with the imp previewer (comes with both ETI and Librarian software).
There are some imp files on this site in book uploads.

Take a look at the prices of ebooks at shops like The eBook Store from Sony (http://ebookstore.sony.com/), BooksOnBoard (http://www.booksonboard.com), Fictionwise (www.fictionwise.com), and eBooks About Everything (http://www.ebooksabouteverything.com/). By browsing these various shops, you will get a good idea how much ebooks go for (in US Dollars).
