What type of post here at MR is most likely to push your button? Surely I have left out some likely possibilities. What are they? :)

View Full Version : Push my button! vivaldirules 12-16-2007, 12:54 PM What type of post here at MR is most likely to push your button? Surely I have left out some likely possibilities. What are they? :) jasonkchapman 12-16-2007, 01:32 PM What type of post here at MR is most likely to push your button? Surely I have left out some likely possibilities. What are they? :) You left out "Someone posting that you left something out of a poll." Acataloger 12-16-2007, 08:06 PM You didn't mention complaints about the quality of free programs created by programmers working without pay on their own time. When the term "sucks" makes its first appearance, no matter what the context, I stop reading. igorsk 12-17-2007, 04:12 AM Yeah, this poll sucks, it's not even multi-choice :) HarryT 12-17-2007, 05:30 AM Polls that don't let you answer the way that you really want to :). Acataloger 12-17-2007, 05:33 AM :nana: montsnmags 12-17-2007, 06:41 AM You left out "Someone posting that you left something out of a poll." Vivaldirules, you left something out of the poll. You forgot "Someone complaining about someone complaining about using Reader and eReader interchangeably"... ...and so on... ;) I like caramel thickshakes. Is that an option? Cheers, Marc Adam B. 12-17-2007, 07:05 AM I've got one. Someone who claims their newly purchased device sucks because it can't do something that it never claimed to be able to do. HappyMartin 12-17-2007, 07:14 AM People complaining that their device doesn't last 18 months on a single battery charge. I mean how far do most of us ever get from a power point for crying out loud. It is not a problem plugging in the kettle every time we want a cup of tea (coffee for the less civilized amongst us) so why is it such a big deal charging a reader every couple of days. Did I mention I own an iliad? JSWolf 12-17-2007, 08:24 AM This poll needs to be deleted so it can be remade so we can check multiple items. In order to give an honest answer, I need to check multiple items. But I cannot. So I cannot vote. I tried to see if it could be edited to be fixed, but it seems once it's made incorrectly, it has to stay that way. Steve Jordan 12-17-2007, 08:35 AM You missed my favorite too: Someone who complains that all digital content should be online and free. yvanleterrible 12-17-2007, 10:53 AM @vivaldirules You forgot "All of the above" JSWolf 12-17-2007, 11:48 AM @vivaldirules You forgot "All of the above" Would you mind allowing this thread to be killed so the poll can be done with multiple choices? vivaldirules 12-17-2007, 12:58 PM I love all of these! It's good to see people in such a playful mood. I also see another one I left out: Moderator editing my poll for his/her own amusement. :rifle: EDIT: We wouldn't do that! -Moderator Alexander Turcic 12-17-2007, 01:01 PM Great poll!! JSWolf 12-17-2007, 01:08 PM Great poll!! Can you sort the Poll so it can be a multi-choice entry? Only one entry makes it useless. NatCh 12-17-2007, 01:08 PM I love all of these! It's good to see people in such a playful mood. I also see another one I left out: Moderator editing my poll for his/her own amusement. :rifle:Actually, it was more for the purpose of venting a bit -- I don't get too many opportunities for that as a moderator. :wink2: JSWolf 12-17-2007, 01:45 PM I think I might just have to start a new thread so I can vote. nekokami 12-17-2007, 02:20 PM Jon, it says "most likely", not "ever." Have you got one or more items at the top of the list that are equally likely to push your buttons? That being said, my choice isn't here either: Someone unable to respect any point of view other than their own (on any issue). And reposting about it, ad nauseum, more and more loudly and rudely. JSWolf 12-17-2007, 02:33 PM There are a few of them that fit the question. vivaldirules 12-17-2007, 02:45 PM There are a few of them I that fit the question.... Another one: Someone whose post is completely unintelligible but they don't seem to notice or care.:) Nate the great 12-17-2007, 02:47 PM I love all of these! It's good to see people in such a playful mood. I also see another one I left out: Moderator editing my poll for his/her own amusement. :rifle: EDIT: We wouldn't do that! -Moderator I think it's kinda funny that no one seems to have noticed that I did this. BruceW 12-17-2007, 03:34 PM We noticed we just took note of the source. montsnmags 12-17-2007, 06:32 PM I think it's kinda funny that no one seems to have noticed that I did this. Oh, Nate, don't worry. It's just that we didn't want to say anything, being as we're all now scareded of you: http://icanhascheezburger.files.wordpress.com/2007/02/1168705855-betab.jpg http://icanhascheezburger.com/2007/02/02/beta/ :D Cheers, Marc vivaldirules 12-18-2007, 10:35 AM I find the poll totals interesting. The two categories about DRM combined lead the pack, as I would have expected. But backlit eink complaints are a close second which is a bit of a surprise to me. Apparently you have not heard me rant against ebook piracy enough, yet! :) |
