Well I have been reading it on and off all day.
I go to turn it on and nothing happens.....if I plug the power in, the light turns red. When I try to switch it on...the red light shuts off and on. Then nothing...
Tried reset button, Nothing.
Only had it a week.
Any ideas?

Ok, now it turns on. Thought maybe it was a low battery, but it is showing full.
Hmmmmm I really expected it to be a heck of alot more stable. It is just a reader.

Another update...now it won't turn on again....this is frustrating
Everytime I push the power button on the red light blinks very fast.

I suppose you have to send it back to iRex. This is not normal behavior.
This is bad.

Try removing all memory cards and see if it will restart. It's a long shot, but could save your iLiad a trip back to iRex.

And don't forget to use the "reset" button on the back to make sure it really is off before you remove the cards.... You can also try reflashing the firmware from CF.

Tried it multiple times...

How am I able to do that if I cannot get it to boot up at all?

can someone give me instructions for setting the iliad back to factory setup, so I can make sure I didn't just brick it.
Thanks

Instructions how to reflash/unbrick from CF card

You should be able to download the reflash files from your MyIrex account

Well got it re-flashed and it loaded 2.10 on the device with no mobipocket software. I ran the actual irex update from the device and it updated it to the 2.11 and added the mobipocket software back.
I don't know what bricked it as I put nothing new on the device for at least 3 days. I am going to install the ipdf full screen and bookmark versions and then nothing else. See if that stops it from happening again.
That is very strange.

Well after everything was running fine, I reinstalled 'all in one pdf' and it bricked it again. Of course I left the adapter at the office so I am stuck until I go pick it up.
This is really not good and pissing me off.
I know I did install third party software, but still.
Anyway, I tried to reflash it, but without the power adapter it won't do anything. no red or green lights.

you probably got the wrong installer. There are installers which check for the appropriate firmwareversion. You prabably have an installer that doesnt check and is made for 2.11 initially. In 2.11 the registry format has changed, and that is proobably causing your bricking.

Well after I reflashed it the first time, I then updated the firmware, which I assume flashed it to 2.11 I actually didn't check that.
Then I installed the all in one.
Should I need the power adapter inserted to have to reflash?
