Welcome to MobileRead. There are a bunch of us here from the DC area. Glad to have you here. For those outside the area we have on average the second longest commute time in the country. (LA's is longer but they are lot bigger and more spread out than DC.)

I got the Sony Reader last November at the time of my birthday. It has been great. I hope you enjoy the Kindle as much as I have the Sony.

I'm in Northern VA and, for years, rode Metrobus from the West End of Alexandria to the Pentagon Metro stop. That was only about a 35 minute ride and yet I was able to plow through tons of books. Now I drive out to Centreville and back everyday and get to read zip. Shoot!
