I've been looking for a good case for months and finally found one I liked. It's an Ellington Airport Express Travel Bag (http://www.amazon.com/Ellington-Airport-Express/dp/B0009ID6MW) which I bought from Amazon for $35.00. It has a large zippered pouch that is just a bit wider than the Reader and about two inches taller and just thick enough that I can also slip in a good pad of paper for notes. It has a second smaller zippered pouch that I put my mp3 player, earbuds, and spare battery in, although it's intended to carry money, credit cards, etc. There are several other places to slip things into including a hidden area with a velcro closure. I slip a pencil into one of the pouches. It's light, water resistant, and comes with a loop for carrying on your belt (my preferred way) and also a removable strap so you can carry it like a map case or purse. Now I really do look like a nerd with a cellphone on my belt on one side and this thing on the other. Supposedly, it's available in several colors but I ordered one and they said they only had black. I'm not sure what it's made of - a composite with a durable cloth-like outer layer and a nylon or something inner layer. I'm pretty happy with it.

Looks like a nice bag. Got any pics of it with the Reader.

Good idea. I'll take one tonight and post it.

Photos attached. The last one is just to show that it is really possible to carry your Sony Reader on your belt. It is functional, light, and is not a bother except when getting into a car. I can recommend it - so long as you are not concerned about the fashion statement you're making. In that case, I'd suggest using the strap. :)

I tried it with the Reader cover on and it works fine - easy to get in and out but snug. I just have to slip my pad of paper into an external pocket instead of inside with the Reader.

I can also get the light that Sony sells into the small pocket. I wish I could find a better one, though. I've looked at the ones people have mentioned here but I don't like any of them except the Light Wedge which would have to be a custom job. I've emailed them twice but haven't heard a word back.

I might have to consider this down the line. I am currently using an old German (I believe) Army map case that I love. It has just the right amounts and sizes of pockets to hold my Reader in its DVD case , my iPod Classic, Palm Tungsten E, earbuds, sunglasses in their case, my cell phone, and a pen, pencil and stylus set I have. Sadly, the leather is cracking and one of the straps has started coming off the back. I have looked all over the internet and cannot find another one like it. I also wear my bag like you have yours but I use the strap it came with so if I need to take it off, I can do it quickly.

I may never be satisfied with a case, after trying many things I'm still searching
